PLACE believes that accomplishing our mission of building a strong local food culture requires a simple foundation of taste. Through the simple act of eating and taking the time to enjoy a meal using local ingredients, people can taste the difference in quality and freshness of locally-grown food. This opens a door for PLACE to elaborate on the environmental and economic, personal and communal benefits of eating locally and building a culture around locally-grown food.

Taste Your Place is a two week extravaganza that reaches out to people through their taste buds.  We just wrapped up Taste Your Place for this year. 

But if you are super organized and would like to go ahead and mark your calendar for next year, Taste Your Place 2011 will be July 9th through July 23rd.
